General Assembly of Members

According to our statutes, our current statutory bodies will come to term and new ones are to be elected. Convened every three years, the General Assembly of members is the sovereign body of our association and it hosts a unique forum to jointly build a strategic narrative for the coming period 2021-2023. It is also the Agora where all our active members will elect a new Board of Directors for the coming period.

For the first time in the Assembly’s thirty-five-year history, local leaders of member cities and regions will not gather in person due to COVID-19 pandemics. Thus, the meeting will be conducted online on Monday, 30th of November 2020.

Extraordinary session:

Approval of the New Statutes and the new Rules of Procedures

Ordinary Session: 

• Approval of the Minutes of Montréal (2017)
• President’s Report
• Metropolis Triennial Report (available from Friday, 13 November 2020 onwards)
• Approval of new members and cancellations
• Finance: Approval · Annual accounts 2017 2018, 2019. 2020.Budget forecast and execution as at 31/10/2020. Approval of budget forecast for 2021-2023
• Presentation and Debate of Metropolis Action Plan 2021-2023
• Election of the new Board of Directors
